Our Warehousing and Logistics Case Studies

Five case studies across five different service types. Each one is a real, anonymised operation delivered from our site in Grays, Essex.

Relay sortation Overnight Sortation for a National Food Box Brand A national food box brand needed a relay sortation point inside the M25. We ran their overnight sortation operation six nights a week for five years — growing from 5,000 boxes per weekend to 30,000 boxes per week across 60 to 80 courier routes per night, cleared by 10am every morning. Relevant to: businesses needing a relay point, a secondary distribution hub, or overnight receiving and sortation capability near London.
BTR / call-off storage Appliance Storage and Call-Off Logistics for UK Build-to-Rent Developments A specialist installation company needed a third-party storage partner to hold Samsung appliances between manufacturer release and site readiness — across multiple residential developments at different stages of completion across the UK. We held approximately 8,000 items simultaneously, organised by development and product type, and released them to sites nationwide on instruction as each floor and phase was ready. Relevant to: appliance suppliers, installation companies, BTR developers, and main contractors operating in a multi-party supply chain.
Bulky goods fulfilment Container to Customer Fulfilment for Bulky Goods Importers Several of our long-term clients are ecommerce brands and importers of garden furniture, mattresses, and bikes. They receive container imports at Tilbury Port — 2.5 miles from our site — and need a fulfilment partner that can receive the container, devan it, and dispatch orders to customers nationwide with next-day turnaround. We run this operation on an ongoing basis for multiple clients — one facility handling everything from port to customer. Relevant to: any importer or ecommerce brand selling large or bulky goods whose standard fulfilment infrastructure does not fit their product.
FF&E / hotel logistics FF&E Storage and Phased Delivery for Hotel and Office Fit-Out Projects Hotel and office refurbishments run in phases. FF&E arrives from overseas before the rooms and floors are ready to receive it. We hold furniture, fixtures, and equipment at our warehouse — receiving containers direct from Tilbury Port — and release goods to London project sites by floor, zone, or phase on instruction. Our longest project in this category ran for six months from first container receipt to final release. Relevant to: hotel operators, office fit-out contractors, interior designers, and procurement teams coordinating international FF&E supply chains.
Pre-site storage Pre-Site Storage for a Conveyor Sortation System A conveyor sortation system was manufactured and ready for delivery before the logistics hub being built in Kent was ready to receive it. We held the machinery at our secure site in Grays for approximately one year — from manufacturer readiness to site readiness — and released it to the Kent facility on instruction when the build was complete. Relevant to: construction project managers, logistics developers, and plant and equipment suppliers who need specialist machinery held securely before the receiving site is ready.
